New Group Head of people at Omega Subsea
Omega Subsea has welcomed Karina Ur Holgersen as its new Group Head of People. With extensive experience in HR and leadership, she steps into the role to strengthen the company’s people strategy and further support the employee journey across the organization.
With a growing number of new team members, Omega Subsea continues to strengthen its position in the subsea industry. Karina will help ensure that recruitment, onboarding, development, and culture are aligned with this growth and the company’s international operations.
What drew her to the position was the opportunity to help shape and build something new.
“What motivates me is that not everything is already set in stone. I enjoy being part of establishing and implementing routines and guidelines, and doing that in an ambitious, growing company makes it even more exciting,” she says.
Looking ahead, she is focused on setting a clear direction for the People Team.
“My priorities are to establish a strong People Team that can serve the organization with what it needs, develop and implement compliant processes that safeguard the entire employee journey, and build systems and culture that allow the company to continue to grow.”
Karina brings solid expertise to her new role. She holds a Master of Management from BI Norwegian Business School and has worked within HR for nearly two decades. Her career includes running her own company, holding senior management positions, and most recently serving as Senior People Manager at the charging company Easee for more than four years.
Contributing to the work environment and company culture is also a key part of her agenda.
“I want to make sure the informal tone and openness are preserved. It is important to me that the company’s values are actively used in daily work, regardless of role or level. And I want to help create an environment where employees feel safe at Omega Subsea,” she concludes.
