Meet the Team: Trude Marie Tuv Westervik
As an ROV Systems & Operations Engineer at Omega Subsea, Trude Marie Tuv Westervik supports offshore operations from onshore, working with troubleshooting, technical follow-up, and continuous improvement of ROV systems.
Her journey into the industry started somewhat by chance after high school, when she began as an ROV apprentice. What started as an opportunity quickly turned into a passion, and she considers ROV one of the most exciting professions out there. After more than ten years offshore, she was ready for a new challenge onshore, working with both wheeled ROVs and smaller OPS systems. Adapting to new equipment and a different segment of the industry brought a fresh set of challenges that she found both motivating and rewarding. When the opportunity to join Omega Subsea came up, the decision was an easy one.

Trude thrives in a fast-paced environment. She describes herself as someone who enjoys staying active, being around people, and having variety in her workday. In her current role, she gets exactly that, a mix of technical challenges, continuous learning, travel, and collaboration. It also gives her the chance to build on her offshore experience while supporting others and contributing where it matters most.
Looking ahead, she is excited about what’s to come and values working in a field she almost considers a hobby, allowing her to focus on family, nature, friends, and new adventures in her time off. What stands out to her is the people. “Omega Subsea is filled with skilled, down-to-earth colleagues who make everyday work both engaging and enjoyable,” she says.
